Triangular fibrocartilage complex injuries are common in athletes. An understanding of anatomy, combined with physical examination findings, including instability of the midcarpus or distal radioulnar joint, allows for better non-operative management, earlier return to play, and appropriate surgical consult for definitive treatment.
